Psychotherapist/Counsellor based online, in St Albans & Old Hatfield

Therapy that meets you in the here and now, not just in the story about it — a calm, unhurried space to slow down, notice what's actually happening for you, and work out what you want to do about it, online or in person.

How I work

Gestalt therapy pays attention to the whole of you — not just the problem you walked in with.

Awareness

Most of what troubles us runs quietly in the background. We slow things down enough to notice it clearly — often for the first time.

Contact

Change happens in real relationship, not in theory. What comes up between us in the room is treated as useful material, not a distraction from the "real" work.

The whole person

Thoughts, feelings, and body are one conversation, not three. We work with all of it, as it shows up, session to session.

Lisa Branch
About

Hello, I'm Lisa.

I trained in the Gestalt tradition, drawn to its insistence that we're shaped by our relationships and environments as much as by anything happening inside us alone.

My path here wasn't a straight line — I started out as a secretary, then studied History, before spending thirteen years in frontline public service. Leaving that career to train as a therapist was a significant shift, and it's part of why I care deeply about supporting people from all walks of life — especially those in the emergency services and armed forces.

I work with adults facing anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, bereavement and more, both online and from rooms in St Albans town centre.
